Tuesdays at the Castle

This book by Jessica Day George features young Princess Celie in her life at Castle Glower, which grows a new room or pathway every Tuesday. When her parents are attacked by bandits, Celie and her siblings Rolf and Lilah must use their knowledge of the magically changing castle to keep control of Castle Glower in their family instead of it being taken over by foreigners. This is a fun, fast-paced novel with an interesting premise and vibrant characters. Kids will fall in love with Castle Glower and root for Celie as she tries to uproot invaders from her home. This story continues in the Tuesdays at the Castle series with “Wednesdays in the Tower,” “Thursdays with the Crown,” “Fridays with the Wizard,” and “Saturdays at Sea.”
